No.IR009/2002 10 May 2002 Re: Report of Performance of the 1st Quarter of 2002 To: Director and Manager of The Stock Exchange of Thailand The Company hereby reports the performance of the 1st quarter of 2002, in comparison to that of the same period of the previous year as follows: The Company records an increase of total income from Baht 234.32 in 2001 to Baht 242.26 million, being 3.39%, due to the increase in the volume of the serviced fuel at the rate of approximately 3%, i.e. an increase from 860.6 million litres in 2001 to 886.9 million litres in 2002.The Company has an increase in total expenses from Baht 100.5 million to Baht 118.93 million, being 18.34% due to special expenses incurred specifically in this quarter, i.e. promotional expenses for the preparation of public offering of the Company's shares in the approximate amount of Baht 4.2 million and bank fee for the release of guarantee obligations for FPT debt restructuring in the approximate amount of Baht 6.6 million. Setting aside these special expenses, the Company would record an increase of net profit in the 1st quarter of 2002 to Baht 98.0 million, higher than that of 2001 (93.9 million), being approximately 4%.
