BAFS Joins “The 2026 Thailand’s Voluntary Carbon Market Outlook” to Advance Thailand’s Carbon Credit Standards and Unlock Global Market Opportunities

On 30 July 2026, M.L. Nathasit Diskul, President of Bangkok Aviation Fuel Services Public Company Limited (BAFS), participated as one of the guest speakers at “The 2026 Thailand’s Voluntary Carbon Market Outlook,” organized by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) at the Stock Exchange of Thailand. The forum brought together key stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to exchange insights on the future of Thailand’s voluntary carbon market and discuss pathways to building a high-quality, transparent, and internationally competitive carbon market ecosystem. The forum offered valuable insights into the outlook for Thailand’s voluntary carbon market in 2026, highlighting evolving market trends, emerging opportunities, and the increasing demand for carbon credits driven by Net Zero ambitions and the growing focus on climate risk management. A panel discussion entitled “Enhancing Thailand’s Carbon Standards and Unlocking New Opportunities for the Global Market” also explored strategies for strengthening Thailand’s carbon credit standards, developing high-quality greenhouse gas reduction projects, and fostering collaboration among the public sector, private sector, project developers, and carbon credit buyers. During the session, BAFS shared its experience and perspectives on the Company’s role in developing high-quality greenhouse gas reduction projects that enhance confidence in Thailand’s carbon market while supporting the sustainable growth of the voluntary carbon market. The event also highlighted the development of Premium T-VER, an enhanced carbon credit standard designed to improve the quality, transparency, and credibility of Thai carbon credits in line with international standards, as well as initiatives to position Thailand as the ASEAN Carbon Market Hub through stronger standards, cross-sector collaboration, and expanded business opportunities between project developers and carbon credit buyers.
